Zahid is an experienced banker, with over 27 years in the industry and a strong track record of business development and growth. He has worked in multiple geographies, including in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Zahid has demonstrated strong leadership and business skills, with an emphasis on Retail, Digital, and Business Banking. He nurtures a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and teamwork. As such he is well positioned to successfully drive the I&M Group’s strategic aspirations in Tanzania to the next level. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) respectively.

Ms. Veronica has over 17 years of experience in Audit and Finance. She has worked with First National Bank, NMB Bank Plc, and Bank of Africa. She is experienced in Finance and Accounting, Financial Analysis, Business Process Reviews, Risk Management, Internal controls and Compliance, and Taxation. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPAT), and she holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from the University of Dar es Salam.

She has worked at leading financial institutions including Diamond Trust Bank Tanzania and NBC, where she has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive results and manage high-value client portfolios. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration (Finance) from the United States International University (USIU).

She has a strong track record of business growth, customer experience, and innovation, and is known for her commercial acumen and ability to build high-performing teams. She holds a BA in Economics (University of Mumbai), is a Certified International Retail Banker and Certified Retail Banking Professional and has completed executive leadership programmes with Franklin Covey.

Amiri is a seasoned technology and digital transformation leader with over 16 years of international experience across banking, fintech, telecommunications, and research. He holds engineering degrees from institutions in China, Japan, and the UK, and has held senior leadership positions at Simbanet and Wananchi, alongside earlier research experience at leading international institutions. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing our technology strategy, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

George is an accomplished banking professional with over 20 years of experience in banking operations, service delivery, controls, and transactions processing. He has held senior leadership roles at NCBA Bank (Senior Manager – Branch Operations, Control & Transactions Processing), Commercial Bank of Tanzania (Senior Manager – Operations & Service Delivery), and earlier operational roles at Barclays Bank and Tanzania Postal Bank. He holds a bachelor’s in accounting (College of Business Education), is finalizing an MBISM at the Institute of Finance Management, is a Certified Financial Educator, and completed Strathmore University Business School's Senior Management Leadership Development Programme. George's deep knowledge of the Tanzanian banking sector will be invaluable as we strengthen operational excellence and customer experience.

Mr. Patrick Kapella is a financial market professional with more than a decade of experience in Treasury Sales and Operations and joined the bank in 2015 as the Head of Treasury. Mr. Patrick is an MBA (Finance and Banking) from Mzumbe University (Tanzania) and a certified member of ACI, a well-known Financial Markets Association. He has previous experience with First National Bank Tanzania as a Chief Dealer.

Mrs. Aimtonga Adolf joined I&M Bank Tanzania in May 2005 as Chief Internal Auditor the position she holds to date. Before joining the Bank, she worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Mangesho and Company, an Accounting and Auditing consultant firm. She is a Certified Public Accountant registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors [NBAA] as an Associate Certified Public Accountant (ACPA). She holds a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dar es Salaam [UDSM].

Gabriel’s banking career spans over 14 years during which he worked as Acting Head of Risk for Absa Bank Tanzania, Head of Operational Risk and Credit Risk Governance for Both Absa and Barclays Bank Tanzania . In his career, he has also held other roles including Internal Auditor at Exim Bank. Gabriel's areas of expertise include enterprise risk management, compliance, Internal Audit, Governance and Control. Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Business administration (BBA-Accounting) from Tumaini university of Dar-Es-Salaam and he is a Certified Enterprise Risk Management Expert.

Emmanuel’s banking career spans 15 years during which he has worked as the Head of Risk & Compliance for I&M Bank T Limited (February 2018 – January 2023), Head of Risk for African Banking Corporation (BancABC) (February 2013 – January 2018) and Bank Examiner for Bank of Tanzania (June 2008 – January 2013). Emmanuel’s areas of expertise include risk management, compliance, credit risk, and bank supervision. During his tenure at BoT, he was instrumental in the development of supervisory and regulatory frameworks governing the financial services industry in Tanzania. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-T) registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) and holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom-Accounting) from the University of Dar-Es-Salaam.

Maria Gonsalves is a seasoned legal professional with over 11 years of experience specializing in Banking Law. She has a strong background in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and financial law, having worked with Diamond Trust Bank Tanzania PLC before joining I&M Bank Tanzania. Her expertise ensures the Bank remains aligned with legal and industry standards while navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Maria is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and all subordinate courts. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo). She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and East Africa Law Society.
